The Global Adventurers are constantly looking for ways to get outdoors, push their physical boundaries and explore the natural world’s less explored areas, that we’re so blessed to live in. The team aren’t professional athletes (actually a long way from it) but are on a mission to inspire people into explore their own back yard, by creating their own adventures no matter how big or small.
On the 21st April 2013, Ben, Luke and Pat made history by completing their Aussie 8 expedition – the quickest consecutive assent, of the highest mountain in each state and territory of Australia, setting an unofficial world record of 8 days & 14 hours.
During this adventure around Australia a strong friendship was formed and during the last climb up Bartle Frere in Queensland the team scoped out the idea of setting a record to run, ride and paddle the nine Great Walks identified by the Department of Conservation in New Zealand. Unlike the Aussie 8 there are no mountains to summit, instead nine of the most intense trekking paths in the world, passing through some of the planet’s most awe-inspiring scenery.
The team are in serious training and planning for their next adventure together – The New Zealand 9
